Ennstal Milch

Founded as a classic dairy in 1902, Ennstal Milch is now an innovative, technology leading and modern food manufacturer. Ennstal Milch strives to increase their energy efficiency by investigating the replacement of steambased process heat supply with hot water delivered from the High-temperature heat pump (HTHP).

SINTEF Ocean

One of Europe’s largest independent research organisations. It has an international top-level expertise in the fields of technology, natural sciences, medicine and social sciences. SINTEF Ocean is developing future-orientated solutions for sustainable utilisation of the ocean and other related topics.

London South Bank University

One of the largest universities in the UK committing to quality research and teaching. The School of Engineering has a 25-year track record in refrigeration and air-conditioning research, developing themes in refrigeration modelling, control, green refrigerants and food chain cooling, where it has an international reputation. The team at LSBU is from the Heating and cooling Group and are specialist researchers in this field. They have proven expertise in food refrigeration, heat networks, heat pumps, supermarket/retail refrigeration, building energy benchmarking, mapping of energy use in supermarkets and have vast knowledge of energy efficiency measures in these areas.

University of Birmingham

A leading research-based university in the UK. The University’s Centre for Sustainable Cooling brings together a consortium of international academic institutions to work with governments, industry, development agencies and NGOs to solve the cooling and cold-chain challenges.

NTNU

The largest university within engineering in Norway with its 39,000 students. The Department of Energy and Process Engineering offers a specialization within the refrigeration and heat pumping system. There has been an increased research activity within energy efficiency improvement in industrial refrigeration systems and heat pump system development utilizing surplus heat from the industry. The department has an advanced laboratory infrastructure which will be utilised for experimental investigations of within ENOUGH.

INRAE

France’s National Research Institute for Agriculture, Food and Environment, world  leader in science  for agriculture, food and environment to provide innovative solutions  climate change, biodiversity and food security  enabling the agroecological, nutritional and energy transitions. This supports policy makers a European and international levels.

KU Leuven

KU Leuven is one of the oldest universities of Europe and is ranked as its most innovative university. The MeBioS division investigates the interaction between biological systems and physical processes.

IIF-IIR

The only independent intergovernmental (59 member countries) science and technology-based organisation which promotes knowledge of all refrigeration fields. The IIR promotes and disseminates worldwide the outcomes of international, European and national funded projects.

CNR-ITC

CNR is the largest public research institution in Italy. CNR-ITC has about 50 years’ experience in refrigeration technology, with specific vocation to experimental activity in the cold chain, heat pumps, natural refrigerants, IR thermography and fluid-dynamic

EFFoST

The European Federation of Food Science and Technology (EFFoST) is a non-profit organisation with more than 130 affiliated European societies, institutes and universities. EFFoST facilitates knowledge and technology exchange among food scientists, engineers, technologists, policymakers and businesses in the food area.

TU GRAZ

Graz University of Technology is represented by the Institute of Thermal Engineering (IWT – Institut für Wärmetechnik). Within the research area “Heating, Refrigeration, and Air-Conditioning”, the institute has been working on environmentally friendly heat pumping systems for decades.

Vlaams Centrum voor Bewaring van Tuinbouwproducten (Flanders Centre of Postharvest Technology)

VCBT  is a practical research centre for quality and storage of horticultural products.  VCBT has an extended service to growers and cooperatives and the first European lab with an ISO17025 standard for quality measurements of F&V.

Vytautas Magnus University

One of the most liberal and progressive universities in Lithuania. The scientists of university are leading in the field of bioeconomics, renewable and alternative energy, engineering and technological sciences, IT in agriculture, climate change research, and environmental sciences.

Silesian University of Technology

One of the top-ranked technical universities in Poland. SUT has been awarded a highly prestigious title within ‘Excellence Initiative – Research University’ programme and finds itself among just 10 research universities in Poland.

UNIVPM  is one of the most important technical universities in Italy, since 1970.  5 faculties (Engineering, Science, Economic Sciences, Medicine and Agricultural Sciences) with 12 departments related to the main scientific and technological disciplines.

University of Goettingen

The department of economics at the Georg-August University of Göttingen -among the top universities in Germany- is part of the Faculty of Business and Economics. The department’s research fields overlap in three areas: Governance, Globalization and Development and Environmental Economics.

FrostX

FrostX Ltd. is an innovative company founded by researchers from the Silesian and Wrocław University of Technology. The company’s research allowed the development of the first fully compact food freeze dryer, FrostX 10, with a capacity of 10 kg of fresh food.
