Recently the ENOUGH project progress and results were reviewed and discussed together with external reviewers. We are very happy to receive positive feedback and expert advice as we have entered the very last project period. With about half a year left of the project, the activities are running intensively, and new results are arising from several parts of the project!
From our demonstrators (read more about them here), reports will be published with results from all demonstrators by sector (transport, last mile delivery, retail, domestic, meat, fish, dairy, fruit and vegetables). While waiting for the final reports, we are publishing updated news from each demonstrator on a weekly basis, and you can follow the news section here.
The last technology roadmap will soon be published, with reviews of technologies related to food processing and evaluations in terms of potential emission reduction. This marks a milestone in the project, with completion of all roadmaps for all sectors to reduce food chain greenhouse gas emissions. You can find the already published ones here. Several of them are also made into factsheets where the main findings are condensed into one-pagers (available through the same link).
The technology roadmaps are closely linked to the energy roadmap that is under development in this period. This will be a roadmap of different scenario pathways to reduce food chain emissions by 2050, considering the social and behavioural interventions as well as technology options.
The work with smart data systems (SDS) has so far been confidential, but the full release is expected within a few months. The smart data system is related to demonstrator 1 of the project (read more here). Another web tool to be excited about is the ENOUGH tool being developed in the project. The tool is able to simulate the food supply chain to calculate emissions related to different food products. It is still under development and the final release at the ENOUGH website will happen at the end of the project.
In the upcoming months, the project will also publish a variety of practice abstracts, policy briefs and reports, white papers and technology implementation guidelines. As you can see, the ENOUGH project has a broad range of outcomes. A final report summary will be published at the end of the project, and the main results will be promoted at a final ENOUGH event in August 2025.
Stay tuned for more information!
