The vision of ENOUGH was shared at the biggest EIT Food event of the year!
EIT Food’s “Next Bite: Building the Future of Food Together” took place in Rome 14-16th October 2024. The event was an unparalleled gathering that brought together the principal actors in food systems transformation, alongside the world’s leading food innovators, thought leaders, and pioneers (read more at https://www.eitfood.eu/next-bite).
With over 900 participants, the event featured three distinct tracks: Net Zero Food System, Healthier Lives Through Food, and Fair and Resilient Food System.
Within the Net Zero Food System track, discussions centered on the concept of reformulation from farm to fork, emphasizing strategies for reducing waste, enhancing efficiency, and promoting responsible consumption practices. The debate session titled “Tackling GHG Emissions” addressed issues raised by industry stakeholders and policymakers in achieving the net zero objective. Interactive discussions were held, during which the ENOUGH project was presented, aiming to address the concerns highlighted by the participants. Additionally, an ENOUGH poster was displayed in the poster area.
The event provided an excellent opportunity to validate the trajectory of the ENOUGH project, as all aspects highlighted by the industrial participants—such as achieving more efficient production, consumer attitudes, and policy considerations—are encompassed within the scope of ENOUGH.
