The IIR has been invited to take part of the Global Cold Chain Alliance (GCCA) 25th European conference on cold chain that took place form 23-25 March in Rotterdam (Netherlands).
The conference has gathered worldwide experts on cold chain that have shown a great interest to ENOUGH on the way the project is aiming reducing GHG emissions from the food supply chain. Yosr Allouche, Ph.D has addressed during her talk emissions from the current cold chain and highlighted the need for an environmentally friendly cold chain both in high-income and low-income countries. Within this context Dr. Allouche has shown how ENOUGH could contribute to the EU farm to fork strategy tackling climate change and associated environmental challenge. During her talk at the plenary session “Carbon Footprint Reduction and Climate Change Targets: an opportunity to be innovative and push the limit”. A poster including ENOUGH key messages as well as the project concept illustration has been exposed in the conference exhibition area where participants took the opportunity to discuss the project scope and objectives.
