In addition to sinvestigating technological solutions for achieving climate-neutral food chains, the ENOUGH project is also addressing the impact of non-technical issues on energy consumption and emissions.
The ongoing work involves conducting a survey about public behavioural barriers to the adoption of sustainable food practices. This is being done in several European countries, and recently, SINTEF scientists collected consumer data among Norwegian students. The survey included perceptions in topics as food shopping, delivery method, preference for fresh or frozen food, home cooking, and measures taken to reduce own food-related emissions.
Once all data has been collected, we will compare the countries selected for the case study and look for similarities and differences. Stay tuned !
