The second ENOUGH annual meeting took place from 27th to 29th June 2023 in Padova (Italy). The event was arranged by the Italian partner CNR-ITC with the assistance of the project coordinator SINTEF Ocean. The event brought together representatives from each project partner. The meeting included updates on the review meeting in Brussels, reported progress from the different work packages, technical visits, group discussions, and brainstorming activities.
On the first day, the consortium visited Enex’s lab in Padernello di Paese. Enex’s CEO Sergio Girotto and his team provided an overview about the factory activities and value chain. During the afternoon, the partners visited SMACT Competence Center, a monitoring and optimisation company supporting the food chain’s clean transition through digital transformation processes.
The second day was more focused on exploring options to improve and further develop interactions between the different work packages. Interactive group discussions were arranged on the project boundaries and terminologies, and on how to show a demonstrated sustainable food chain and maximise impact, alongside with brainstorming about food sustainability drivers, barriers and metrics. The consortium was then offered a tour in CNR-ITC laboratory to discover the project transport demonstrator.
The third and final day was devoted to data management and results dissemination practices. The consortium was sensitised to the importance of communication channels to maximise the visibility of the project. The partners participated in a social media workshop in order to learn how to use those to promote ENOUGH.
One day before the annual meeting, on 26th June, ENOUGH coordinator SINTEF Ocean, the local partner CNR-ITC and the communications Team (IIR) celebrated World Refrigeration Day together. The Team enjoyed the celebrations with the new generation as a way of raising awareness and building consciousness around the environmental challenges facing the sector.
